The Owen Sedanca was named for H.R. Owen of Berkeley Street, Mayfair W1, with whom Messrs J Gurney Nutting were working closely at the time.
Arguably one of the most elegant bodies of the time, the Owen Sedanca was built around a Bentley 3.5 litre chassis whose engine was based on an experimental Rolls-Royce project, fitted to the Rolls-Royce 20/25 but with a higher compression ratio, a sportier camshaft profile, two SU carburettors and a cross-flow cylinder head, allowing 110 hp and a top speed of some 90 mph.
This particular car is chassis B130FB and is priced at £180.000. As usual, if you know of anyone who would like to purchase it, we would be happy to provide a sizeable finder's fee on completion. That's the Art of Good Business.
